Privacy Policy — Typeahead

Typeahead (“the app”) is a search-only home launcher for Android. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information. The short version: the app collects no personal data and sends nothing off your device.

Data we collect

None. Typeahead has no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. We operate no servers and receive no information about you or your device.

Data stored on your device

To work as a launcher, the app stores the following locally on your device only, never transmitted anywhere:

• The list of apps installed on your device, read so you can search and launch them.
• Your preferences: pinned apps, hidden apps, custom search aliases, and recent-launch timestamps used to rank results.

This data lives in the app’s private storage and is removed when you uninstall the app.

Permissions

• Query installed apps — to list and launch your apps from search.
• Expand status bar — to open the notification shade on a swipe-down gesture.
• Billing — to offer an optional Pro subscription through Google Play.

Payments

If you buy a Pro subscription, the purchase is processed by Google Play Billing. Google handles the payment; the app only receives an anonymous purchase token used to confirm your subscription. We never see your name, email address, or payment details. Google’s handling of your payment is governed by Google’s own privacy policy.

Data sharing

We share no data with third parties. The only external party involved is Google Play, solely to process an optional purchase you choose to make.

Children

The app is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new “last updated” date.
